Sara has a MSEd with an emphasis in Counseling from Northern Illinois University and a PhD in Counselor Education & Supervision from Regent University.

Sara is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of North Carolina and is Board Certified with the National Board for Certified Counselors.

In her PhD dissertation, Sara focused on caregiver mental health: Stress and Resiliency Factors for Caregivers of Children With Autism.
