Sara has a MSEd with an emphasis in Counseling from Northern Illinois University and a PhD in Counselor Education & Supervision from Regent University.

Sara is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor in the state of North Carolina and is Board Certified with the National Board for Certified Counselors.
 
In her PhD dissertation, Sara focused on caregiver mental health: Stress and Resiliency Factors for Caregivers of Children With Autism.
